Mostly. In some cases, we use organic ingredients that come from small farms whom we trust and have reason to believe when they say that their products are organic. Having organic certification is very costly and is cost prohibitive for some small farms. "Do you use animal products?" No, with two exceptions. We use high grade lanolin (oil from sheep wool) only in our 2 face cremes (Rose Gold & Lavender Gold). We don't think that bee products are animal products, but for vegans who do not use bee products, the following products are listed which contain bee products. Organic bees wax is in Rose Gold and Lavender Gold Face Cremes, all our salves, CoCo Vanilla Body Butter, SeaFlower SPF 15 NIM, Chamomile Rose NIM only . There is royal jelly in Royal Vera Toner, Rose Gold Toner, Bright Eyes Gel and Royal Rose Honey. There is raw honey in Royal Rose Honey, Enlighten Skin, Flower and Sea Face Mask. Our use of bee products, to our knowledge, does not harm the bees in any way. We purchase from bee suppliers that claim sustainable bee practices. "What preservatives do you use?" The following ingredients, either separately or together, protect Starflower products from bacteria and oxidation: grapefruit seed extract, rosemary extract, d’alpha Vitamin E, essential oils, sage extract and Vitamin C. "Do you use any chemicals as preservatives in your products?" No. Never. "Can you send me a list of all the ingredients in your products?" We use several hundred ingredients in our products. The ingredients on each product are listed on the label. However, if you need to know, for example, whether a particular ingredient that you believe you may be allergic to is in a particular product, we'll be glad to let you know whether that ingredient is in the product. "How -- and for how long -- should I store your products?" Starflower Essentials' products are hand made and perishable, like the plants and flowers from which they are derived. Shelf life is extended by protection from light and heat. You may refrigerate after opening to double the shelf life but is not necessary. Shelf lives range from at least 8 months to 1 year for AromaPlant Gels and facial cremes to 18 months for face and body oils.
