Welcome to Starflower Essentials. Twenty three years ago, in a little biodynamic farming community, Starflower was first conceived. Making herbal formulas for the skin became a hobby of mine. I loved wild crafting and growing herbs in the garden and making tinctures and extracts for my family's medicine cabinet. Those were early beginnings and, as all great loves do when nurtured, mine grew into what I soon realized would be my life's work and study.

In 1994, Starflower became commercially available in the Southwestern U.S. with over 30 face, body and bath products. Today, Starflower provides over 100 skin nutrient products, including professional spa treatments, nationally and worldwide. Starflower is synonymous with truth, beauty and wellness and is making a name for itself within one of the highest genres of skin care . . . FOOD GRADE and ORGANIC with NO PROPYLS, PARABENS or CHEMICALS of any kind. All of Starflower Essentials Organic Skin Care products are natural, but they are so much more than natural. They are food grade holistic skin nutrition products. "Food grade" is the classification given to products that can literally be eaten safely. Most cosmetics are "cosmetic grade". Of course, we don't recommend that you eat Starflower personal care products, but just a moment's thought will bring home an obvious thought: isn't it better to use products on your living, breathing skin that you could eat, rather than products that would harm your digestive system if you ate them? Your skin is alive; it needs natural cleaning, conditioning, repair and maintenance.

Starflower's cruelty free cosmetic and make up products are always hand-made with organic or wild-crafted herbs and essential oils, purchased from sources around the world. Most Starflower skin care products are totally organic and food grade. Many skin care products use the word 'natural' on their label, but the ingredients that are natural and useful to your skin always appear lower on the ingredient label (there are less of them) than the fillers and inexpensive chemicals and oils that make these products less costly - and less effective.
